Hey Whats up fam!!
Freak, Sound like you guys had a fun week. DREW gotta get the leg better man! jaja Stretch a ton! It really will help. Sounds like you did great at Simplot. I miss track so much! I love stretching, it’s the best. I’m super close to getting the splits! He puesto esa meta y voy a hacer todo posible para cumplirlo! I’m not going to lie though dude jajaja that pic of you and the track kids was so funny! jajaja I was dying man! And yah bro you finally saw my name in the cage! It’s sweet man! Keep working hard in track! Nope, I didn’t get my package yet. I may get it this week. We have a huge conference in Arequipa on Friday for all the missionaries. So that should be fun. I should also find out Thursday what’s going on with our area. Well, this week we didn’t really do much. We’ve just been doing the same thing everyday. Walking, contacting, working, jaja and not doing much else. Mission life, right?! We went and worked on a farm with one of the members. He’s honestly one of the coolest people ever! His name is Hermano Vegil. He’s a stud and I really love that guy! He’s a member of the branch. I’m teaching him English right now. He knows a lot cause the elders from the US always teach him. He’s the guy in the picture and his house is behind him. jaja The majority of the people we teach don’t have lights. It’s so crazy. We teach lessons in the dark and with flashlights! Good thing dad sent me with some good ones!We helped him pick fruit and what ever else he needed us to do. He let us take a bunch of mangos to our house to eat. So that was sweet! I eat so much fruit here! It’s crazy! I eat like 20 bananas, 10 mangos, and 10 apples every 2-3 days. I wasn’t buying a bunch of vegetables but I started doing that this week. I bought a stick of Brocolli jaja and some carrots to eat so it was good. Oh, how I miss the food of the states though. So good news for the area, we have a couple people here that want to get baptized. There should be like 7 bautismos this next month or something like that. jaja Only a few right??? So we really have been working hard and trying to connect with the people. They’re all neighbors and always listen to us when we come to visit their area. jaja. None of them have ever heard about the church before. The misioneros have never gone to where they live so we were the first! So cool! It’s pretty crazy. Half of them don’t speak Spanish very well. They speak a language called quechua which is nuts! I’m starting to learn a little bit of it so I can kind of teach a lesson to them. My comp doesn’t know the language either so were just learning it together right now too. They understand us but they sound like me when they try to reply in Spanish.jaja It’s kind of funny. I was just thinking of this scene from Big Bang theory when Raj’s date is deaf and he needs Howard to translate for him!jajaja I love that show! As I had said before, I really love this area, it’s just the pressure that I am getting here from the other elders. It’s mainly the elders here in the district that keep asking me for money, mostly my district leader, and I don’t know why. When I say no then they try to make me feel bad and it’s just a lot to handle. The ward ledir misional was one of the people talking bad about me too. I got on his case and gave it to him good. I told him if he’s got problems with me he can speak to me and not to the other people of the ward. I just don’t know if I can do another change here. I told the president that I would like a change but if he needed me to stay here I would. I really hope he changes me though even though I would miss out on seeing our new investigators progress. So, I think I’ve solved that problem. jaja. They were 2 main guys causing the problem in the area and I think they’re switching the DL. ESPERO que el tenga cambio. My comps a stud though. jaja We don’t have any money left for the month, the office forgot to send it to us last Monday, so I always have to pay for things cause he doesn’t have money. Makes it hard but it is what it is. jaja. Today we are going to see some waterfalls or something like that and if I am still here next week we are going shrimp fishing cause the season starts then. I think I might take my comp out for lunch. There isn’t really anything here, just local places that serve chicken but I want to find a place that serves shrimp cause it’s freaking good here! Love you guys and have a good week!
